HomeRecord
Terms of Service
Last updated Oct 15, 2026
Draft for legal review. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the inspector consent clause have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Legal review is required before the first real inspector invite.
1. What HomeRecord does
HomeRecord turns a home inspection report into a maintenance plan for the homeowner. Inspectors review the extracted home facts and findings before sharing a plan. Homeowners can use the plan and keep their own notes, costs, photos and receipts.
The plan is a record and planning tool. It does not replace an inspection, professional advice or an assessment of whether a home or repair is safe. Check the original report and consult a qualified professional when needed.
2. Your account
Use an email address you control and keep your sign-in codes private. Give us accurate information and use HomeRecord only for reports and records you are allowed to share. Do not use the service to access another person's account or data without permission.
3. Sharing an inspection report
Before uploading a report, the inspector must confirm that the homeowner agreed to share the report and their contact and property details with HomeRecord. The inspector is responsible for reviewing and correcting the extracted plan before sending an invite.
The homeowner sees who shared the report and accepts the Terms and Privacy Policy before claiming the home record. An inspector can revoke an unclaimed invite. After the homeowner claims the record, the inspector cannot revoke their access.
4. Your home record
After you claim your home record, it stays yours if your inspector cancels a subscription, deletes a client or leaves HomeRecord. Your inspector can see claim activity, follow-up completion counts and clicks on their links. They cannot see your private notes, costs, photos or receipts.
Deleting an inspector's client after claim disconnects the inspector from the home record. The homeowner keeps their report, findings and records, with plain inspector attribution. Deleting an unclaimed client removes the unclaimed plan and invite.
5. Inspector plans and billing
The Free plan includes five published homes per calendar month. The Inspector plan is $39 per month, with a fair-use allowance of 60 homes per month. Eligible founding inspectors receive the $29 monthly founding rate shown at checkout. Review the price and billing details at checkout before subscribing.
Manage your subscription and payment details through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Homeowners keep access to their claimed home records when an inspector changes plans or cancels.
6. Deleting your account
Homeowners can delete their account from settings. We delete their home record, our home-record copy of the report, photos and receipts within 30 days. An inspector's own original report is separate from the homeowner's record and stays with the inspector.
When an inspector deletes their account, unclaimed client records are removed and claimed home records are disconnected and kept for the homeowner. If you have both inspector and homeowner roles, deleting one role does not delete the other role's records.
7. Questions and review

These Terms remain a draft until legal review is complete. Legal review of the Terms, Privacy Policy and inspector consent clause is a launch blocker before the first real inspector invite.
