HomeRecord
Privacy Policy
Last updated Oct 15, 2026
1. Who we are
HomeRecord turns a home inspection report into a maintenance plan for the homeowner. This policy explains what we collect from inspectors and homeowners, why, and what we do with it.
2. What your inspector shares
When your inspector invites you, they upload the inspection report and give us your name, your email address and the property address. Before the upload, they confirm that you agreed to share the report.
3. How we read the report
We send the report to an AI model provider to pull out home facts, findings and page numbers. The provider processes it only on our behalf and may not use it to train its models. Your inspector checks the result before you see it.
4. Who sees what
You see your whole plan and everything you add to it.
Your inspector sees:
- Whether you opened and claimed the plan
- How many follow-ups are marked done
- Clicks on their booking, review and referral links
They never see your notes, costs, photos or receipts.
5. Emails we send
An invite from your inspector, sign-in codes when you ask for them, and one plan email a month. You can turn the monthly email off at any time from its footer or from your plan.
6. Keeping and deleting your data
Your plan stays yours if your inspector leaves HomeRecord or changes plans. If you delete your account, we delete your plan, our copy of the report, your photos and receipts within 30 days.
